Solomon Walker Peek, Sr. may be the son of William Peak and Elizabeth Shockley. If so, three more generations can be filled in. However, there are some discrepancies and further research is needed. See earlier generations. One researcher thinks Solomon, Walker Peek, Sr. may have been a brother of William Peek who married Elizabeth Shockley, but if so, the parents, George Peek and Elizabeth Spencer, would have been about 51 years old at the time of his birth.
Solomon Walker Peek, Sr. was a noted Primitive Baptist preacher who founded numerous churches in Georgia in areas where many new settlers were coming into the state in the early 1800's.
