Jack Livingstone Photograph

William F. Livingstone and Ann L. Yeager (till recently we thought her name was Dalton) were the parents of Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Livingstone et al.  See the Livingstone page for more information.

At the top left (hard to read on this scanned copy) is 1839 and at the bottom is the name Jack Livingstone. Family legend says that Jack Livingstone, brother of Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Livingstone had a 21 inch beard by the time he was 21 years old. Note, as of October 25, 1998, new information found by researcher Pam Stone has identified two other possibilities for references to "Jack."  One is James Livingston(e), brother of William F. Livingston(e). He was called Jack. Another is William's son James, also called Jack in later years.

I use the Livingstone spelling having found that spelling on the 1850 census, but the name appears on other documents with a number of different spellings including Livingston, Levingston, Levinston, etc.

If you have any additional information about this picture, or if you have any information or photos that may be of the Livingston(e) family, please notify Dianna Hokanson. My father can remember his grandmother, Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Livingstone, who was born about 1839. She was a sister of Jack Livingstone. She married Obediah Franklin Beene in 1858 in Itawamba Co, MS.
