Handmade copies of deteriorating originals dated from 1833 - made by church members in 1897 and also containing notes from 1897 continued to 1929. Apparently, the copying was done when the person had time. They left the space they thought they would need and started with 1897 minutes, etc. in the same book. So some pages were never used. A second book dates from 1929 to present. Some other books existed at one time, perhaps remains of originals? Whereabouts of these books unknown at this time.
The books contain Articles of Faith, membership lists (from time to time), matters pertaining to ordination of preachers, matters pertaining to belonging to their association of churches, etc. Occasionally, there are notes on matters disturbing the Peace of the Church. So, the usual happy routines of meeting, worshipping, singing, dinner at the church, weddings, etc., are not recorded. What is recorded is mundane business and disturbances in the life of the church.
